The Dutch Oven opened on the 5th February 2015 in support of de Molen, Foxton's iconic windmill.

De Molen, The Dutch Oven and Millside Cafe are run by the same entity, The Foxton Windmill Trust Inc. which is a non-profit organisation. All proceeds go into the upkeep and running of de Molen.
